We currently have opportunities for 2 Trainee Plumbers to join the Repairs & Maintenance teams, this is a great opportunity if you currently hold a level 2 in Plumbing and want to develop your practical knowledge and work closely with qualified experienced Plumbers in domestic properties.
As a Plumbing Trainee, you will complete the Plumber (Trainee) programme including Gas certification (duration of up to 24 months). All work and training elements must be met by successfully progressing through set milestones.

Carry out responsive repairs to Gentoo properties including installation and maintenance of sanitary ware, plumbing/heating systems, soil and rainwater goods.
Assist with installation of gas boilers, heating systems, associated pipework and components.
Testing, commissioning and de-commissioning of all the above components and services.
Complete minor builders work, and elements of multi-skills associated with the job.
Develop good working relationships with colleagues and support fellow Trainees.
Provide feedback on progression and competence in monthly 1-2-1s.
Complete all necessary paperwork as required by the current Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations, Gentoo and Regulatory bodies.
Ensure all work carried out meets the minimum standards set by the British Standards, Gentoo Group and Regulatory bodies.
Attend and complete any necessary or relevant internal and external training.
What we are looking for:
Experience or practical knowledge gained through education in plumbing & heating including the installation and maintenance of hot and cold-water systems, sanitary ware, soil & waste systems and rainwater goods and associated pipework is essential.
Experience or practical knowledge gained through education in the installation of plumbing/heating systems and components is essential.
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing OR equivalent City and Guilds craft certification in Plumbing.
A full UK driving license is essential.
Effective communication and negotiation skills with people at all levels including customers.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health & Safety Regulations.
Numerical skills.
Logical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving.
