The role

Please note, this is not a health care role and Housing Experience is essential.

This is not your standard Intense Housing Management Support Work role. Here at Petrus, we’re passionate about people and committed to ending homelessness.

We are looking for an Intense Housing Management Support Worker who can provide tenancy support to service users at our Burnley housing projects. You will work proactively with service users who have been homeless and have complex needs, to sustain their tenancies and move on into independence.

You will also work empathetically to empower services users, actively engaging with them in the community and helping them to support each other, develop resilience, live independently, and to be an asset to the community.

You will work alongside another organisation who provides the support element to our Service Users.

The right fit

  • You will have a minimum of 2 years Housing experience. Ideally, working with service users who have been homeless and / or have complex needs including, Mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse with their tenancy sustainment needs and working with other support services.
  • This is not a care role, so experience within a Housing Officer role or similar would be desirable.
  • You will be able to assess service user’s needs, and plan and deliver effective, stimulating, and dynamic support to help them sustain their tenancy.
  • You will also have solid demonstrable organisational skills, with experience in timekeeping, planning your workload, and managing workloads effectively.
