The Home

This post is a regional post which requires you to travel around different Healthcare Ireland homes within a region. This may include dementia, nursing, learning disability and mental health homes. This post is for the County Antrim and North Down region but you may be required further afield. 

The Role

To provide high-quality person-centred care to the residents of the home, supporting with their everyday needs and contributing to their enjoyment of life.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
  • Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
  • Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet
  • Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families
  • Provide care in a safe environment through participation in learning and development programmes.

You will need:

  • Must be able to travel: driving licence and access to vehicle required (essential)
  • 1 years care experience
  • A good standard of written and oral English
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
