We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager, with CAN Structures - a growing, energetic and friendly company.

We are looking for a Project Manager to be based at our either our Chesterfield or Northfleet office, working alongside the existing team and reporting to the Operations Director. This role would suit a project manager with a degree in construction or civil engineering.

Responsibilities:

The role will involve managing specialist rope access construction and maintenance project with duties including:

  • Managing projects
  • Managing teams of site personnel (good people skills required)
  • Liaising with clients.
  • Procurement and management of materials and equipment selection
  • Project financial reporting
  • Managing quality & HSQE
  • Full time (office based with site visits)

Experience and skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ project management experience in construction or civil engineering
  • Degree in engineering, construction, or similar.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • A professional approach.
  • Driving licence.

CAN Engineering is a UK-based geotechnical engineering and access contractor. We undertake large-scale ground stabilisation and specialist access projects. Our geotechnical engineering division is involved with undertaking soil slope and rock face stabilisation work, installing rockfall protection measures, constructing retaining walls and providing sprayed concrete and structural reinforcement drilling and grouting. Our structures division offers structural repairs, construction support, inspection, testing and maintenance, blasting, painting, rigging and lifting at height. The multifaceted work is supported by rope access and confined space expertise, including bespoke access solutions.

CAN also has a large fleet of bespoke drilling and access equipment and facilities for design, manufacture, modification and repair. We provide solutions to complex jobs and overcome challenging access scenarios, thereby minimising public disruption. We hold the necessary health, safety, environmental and quality registrations. We are based in the UK (Chesterfield, Kent, Bristol, Glasgow) and the Republic of Ireland (Dublin).
