Platform Property Care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Manager – Gas to join our Award-winning Heating team based in Worcestershire leading a team of Service & Repair Gas Engineers in our south Worcestershire and Gloucestershire area. This role has arisen due to our continued growth and expansion in the team.
As part of a national housing association, you will be one of a team of Service Managers responsible for the successful delivery of property maintenance to Platform Housing Group and partners housing stock. You will play a key role influencing and supporting the strategic growth of Platform Property Care.
Responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of gas servicing and repair to 5000 properties, covering Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, you will be leading and managing a team of engineers. The role will entail dealing with internal and external customers, meeting customer expectations and delivering a high quality, cost effective, and excellent service at all times. Having a fully compliant annual gas servicing schedule is essential together with the highest possible health and safety expectations.
Supported by an Auditor, you will be results focused, ensuring the service is delivered to meet contractual timescales and key performance indicators including sector leading customer experience, regulatory and compliance measures; whilst supporting the wider Platform Property Care team objectives.
Some things we need from you:
You will be an experienced Gas Manager who will have previously worked in the housing/ construction industry, ideally with relevant Gas qualifications, and social housing experience. You should have experience of managing and nurturing large teams and can bring the best out of your team.
As this area covers properties with another Housing Association, we are also looking for someone with a strong commercial approach who can build and develop strong relationships with our partners and stakeholders. You will be meeting regularly with our customers in this area so a real passion for making a difference to our customers and their homes and lives is essential.

This role also requires covering the out of hours duty manager rota, which is currently one day in thirteen and includes weekends.
The role is mobile, and therefore requires a full UK Driving Licence, and covers Evesham mainly and surrounding area. At times you will be required to attend meetings and training at our other offices and locations including Worcester, Birmingham, Matlock, and Skegness.
