This is a {Advertised Permanent / Temporary}, {Advertised Full Time / Part Time} vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are seeking to appoint a diligent and self-motivated individual to the role of Reprographics Technician. Attention to detail, a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, as well as a good mind for problem-solving is required.  

The role will report to the School Office Manager.   

OUTLINE OF POST: 

To provide reprographic (photocopying) support to the whole school. 

  MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain the smooth working of reprographics machines located in the Reprographics Department and other locations around the school (presently around 20 copiers).  
  • Overseeing the maintenance contract with our machine contractor, maintaining close liaison with the engineers for servicing and general repairs.  
  • Ordering, controlling and stocktaking of all consumables (paper, ink, binding materials) etc   
  • Operating a batch system for staff bulk photocopying.  
  • Provide input to the Office Manager into the annual budget process  
  • Independently managing the scheduling and delivery of staff bulk photocopying to manage the workflow and meet all reasonable deadlines.   
  • Preparing/creating/binding examination papers, information booklets, notepads and other documents.  
  • Scanning of documents and conversion to PDF format.  
  • Providing laminating, binding, guillotining and other services linked to the production of materials for lessons or events.  
  • Assisting staff on all aspects of photocopying.  
  • Monitoring photocopying usage on all machines and producing monthly, termly and annual reports or accounts invoices for all departments.
  • Preparing monthly accounts of machine usage and materials supplied to all departments.  
  • Billing, as required, through the John Whitgift Foundation, of departments and other users for copying and materials supplied.  
  • Assisting in any other aspect of photocopying, printing or related reprographics work. 
  • Other tasks in support of the School Office administration e.g. badge making for Open Events, labelling and keeping pigeon holes up to date or mail merges.
