The business development team is a core part of the of growth strategy across Cox Automotive Enterprise sales in developing new business leads across the group. This role covers the England focussing on developing new business leads from franchise dealer groups and independent organisations.

Role:

A Business Development Manager works to improve Cox Automotive’s market position and contribute to financial growth.

This will be achieved by building key client relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of the vehicle remarketing and automotive market conditions.

The BDM will work in a senior sales position within the company targeting Franchised and independent motor Dealers. It is their job to work with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximise revenue.

To achieve this, they need to find potential new clients, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future.

They will often be required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict our clients’ future needs across the Cox Automotive Group.

Skills & Experience:

  • Tenacious, driven individual with a proven record of success in B2B Automotive sales ideally
  • Knowledge of the car and commercial vehicle market and our competitors is desirable.
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Good at building and developing relationships at a variety of levels.
  • Be able to research and build relationships with new clients.
  • A good understanding of a sales process and how to build a strong pipeline and nurture client
  • Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems and what value they add.
  • Have previously worked in a target, SLA and KPI driven environment.
