As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we have a maternity cover opportunity for a Lecturer in Dog Grooming to join our Animal Care department, reporting into our Assistant Director for Animal Care. This role will be a fixed term contract up until April 2025.  

You will be responsible for delivering high quality, inspirational, teaching and access to learning in addition to undertaking associated tutorial duties. You will contribute to the process of continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and learning and the students’ overall experience at Sandwell College; to include attendance, retention, achievement, progression and value-added measures.

To be successful, you will hold a degree and/or appropriate professional qualification relevant to the department as well as a Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification. You will have experience of excellent teaching and learning practice on work-based programmes and the ability to teach using diverse methods and adapt to needs of particular student groups.
