Citizen Housing is looking to appoint a highly experienced Health and Safety leader. This is an exceptional Health and Safety opportunity not to be missed. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Set the health and safety strategy and plans for all corporate and operational services. 

  • Develop a world-class safety culture, support the implementation and on-going development of the health and safety management system. 

  • Oversee the health and safety of all corporate sites and facilities. 

  • Support the Health and Safety committees, conduct audits, investigate accidents and produce reports. 

  • Oversee and maintain Citizen’s operational emergency plan. 

  • Act as Citizen’s competent person for Health and Safety. 

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications: 

  • NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent level qualification 

  • First-class leadership and stakeholder management experience 

  • Property/Facilities/Construction experience (desirable) 

  • Ideally, experience with ISO45001, H&S Governance and Contractor Management (CDM) 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

 

This is an exceptional opportunity to work together with two other Heads of Service (Fire Safety and Building Safety & Compliance) to ensure the safety of Citizen’s residents and staff. You will be reporting to the Director of Building Safety, leading the implementation of the group-wide Health and Safety strategy along with leading a team of H&S Advisors and Managers.
