Salary: £31,098 - £34,968 per annum

Contract: Fixed Term Maternity Cover

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 37 hours per week x 52 weeks per year

About the Role

The Sheffield College are looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join our People Operations Team. We have high aspirations and standards for ourselves and our learners and this role will be key in supporting delivery of People Learning and Development, aligned to the college’s strategic plan.

It is an exciting time to join with lots of opportunity to enhance and improve our Learning & Development offer. You will be a proactive individual who is results focused and looking for a fast-paced and varied role. You will apply judgement and make decisions within the scope of your projects working with colleagues across college and externally. You will role model our values and behaviours and ensure these are embedded within learning initiatives with key focus on high expectations and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities 

  • You will take ownership and deliver several projects alongside day-to-day activities that support the achievement of the People Development strategy
  • You will work independently in your areas of responsibility, ensuring work is consistently delivered to a high standard
  • This role will work closely with the People Development Manager who will define and oversee the strategy and provide support and guidance when required.
  • You will contribute to developing the capability of our people, enabling continuing growth and progression, and supporting our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusivity.

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Experienced Learning & Development professional able to analyse needs, make recommendations, deliver learning solutions and evaluate success
  • Experience leading Learning & Development projects whilst ensuring meaningful and measurable impact
  • Effective relationship builder, (internally and externally), using professional communication skills to engage, challenge, influence and advise relating to Learning & Development

Once in role at the college you can expect to be working on initiatives such as Induction, Leadership Development, Mandatory and Regulatory Training, transforming our People Development data, continuing professional development, delivering the annual training plan for equality, diversity and inclusion, all college training and development days and cultural change initiatives.
