CHEC are the largest provider of community ophthalmology services in the UK, delivering thousands of outpatient and surgical appointments per year.
Established in 2012 as a provider of NHS eyecare outside the hospital setting, we continue to grow across the UK.

Due to our services being more in demand than ever before we would like you to join us operating across the UK in our CHEC Hospitals and Community Centres.
CHEC are looking for Ophthalmology Consultants with special interest in vitreoretinal (VR) surgery.
The post holder will be required to perform a range of vitreoretinal appointments and surgeries on patients referred to CHEC with elective VR conditions e.g. macular holes, ERMs, VMT, etc. working in accordance with CHEC treatment protocols and working practices. You may also have involvement in General Ophthalmology treatment protocols.
The post holder will deliver high quality clinical care to patients attending the ophthalmology service in the following areas:
