This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Purpose of the role

Provision of daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance and asset management of medical devices within specified hospital locations. To work with and support the site / team leader in achieving contract KPIs. Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined in Ergéa procedures. Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital. Build long-term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform schedules preventive maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined in the Ergéa Standard Operating Procedures
  • Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
  • Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment
  • Exceed contract KPI’s to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist Junior Biomed Engineer whenever required
  • Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary
  • Directly support the site/team leader as needed

Additional duties:

  • Scheduling and completing workload for assigned customers within area
  • Maintaining service documentation in line with business requirements
  • Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resources to maintain equipment
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations
  • Ensure data integrity within Ergéa management systems
  • Responsible for delivering customer satisfaction
  • Deal with OEM’s service staff and management when required
  • Maintain tools and test equipment in line with Ergéa Standards
  • Attend customer meetings when required
  • Seek opportunities to grow Ergéa’s business
  • Review ways to improve productivity and reduce operating expenditure
  • Any other reasonable request or project request

 

Capability profile

Qualifications

Certified OEM trainings Essential
Qualification in Engineering, BEng in Engineering, Electronics or Medical Technologies such as Biomedical Engineering Essential

 

Skills

5 - 7 years in biomedical setting Essential
Competent with broad range of medical devices Essential
Patient monitoring, diathermies (electro surgery units), theatre tables, defibrillators, infusion & volumetric devices. Essential
Anaesthesia equipment, ventilation devices. Desirable
Has worked in clinical areas and involving patient communication Essential

 

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ Biomedical experience Essential
1 – 2 year Biomedical experience in UK Essential
