The Vacancy
We put people before profit: work for a family of nurseries with heart.
We're the London Early Years Foundation, also known as LEYF; a family of 40 nurseries in London. With our charitable social enterprise model, we're leading change in Early Years, ensuring equal education and care for all children to give them the best start in life. 27% of our children are on funded-only places, with 75% of our nurseries in some of the most deprived areas of London, meaning you have the chance to make the biggest impact by working with us.
What’s in it for you?
“This is a rewarding role that involves mentoring and empowering future teachers, who will make a difference in the children’s lives” – Liz, Apprenticeship Programme Officer.
A bit about the role
“Being part of the Apprenticeship Team, you will help to create the best possible learning opportunities for our LEYF Apprentices” Michelle, Apprenticeships Manager.
We are proud to be recognised as a Top 100 Apprentice Employer and currently have over 100 Early Years Apprentices on programme. Together in the close knit Apprenticeship Programme team of 3, you will be responsible for leading training sessions, developing our coaches and ensuring our apprentices are high quality teachers, supported and on track to complete their course.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire future educators and you’ll have the autonomy to develop and deliver a truly enriching programme. We work closely with our external Apprenticeship providers and tutors ensuring our training complements the core parts of their curriculum.
You will work closely developing our nursery coaches who work daily with their apprentice. Using our LEYF pedagogy and knowledge of the apprenticeship curriculum you’ll work to ensure our coaches are set up for success.
You will be part of the Learning and Development team, and will get the opportunity to work with all levels and with many teams across LEYF. We are seeking someone who is ready to make an impact, inspire and nurture future leaders in early education, and be part of an organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of children and their families.
