This role will lead the RCVS Academy function, which falls under the ‘Compassion’ strand of the Strategic Plan, as follows:
Help our regulated professionals to meet the standards expected of them by their peers, the public and society at large by launching the RCVS Academy, which will house a range of online educational tools to help veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and other potential associates of the College understand what is expected of them in terms of meeting standards, and to support them acquiring relevant knowledge and staying up to date in a creative, accessible and inspiring way.
Job purpose
Lead the Academy team to drive and deliver the strategy and ensure the Academy meets its objectives. Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritise projects responsive to strategic need. Evaluate data and feedback to deliver improvements and ensure the Academy remains fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will have the confidence and expertise to ensure that materials are engaging for our audiences, have clear learning outcomes and can be evaluated in terms of their impact. They will apply best practice in online learning and deliver multiple projects on time and on budget. The role will also support the development of internal learning and development for RCVS employees and council/committee members.
