Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

This is an exciting time to join the team in this newly created role in the Finance & Business Excellence directorate, reporting to the Finance Director.

You will have a proven track record in risk management at a strategic and operational level and experience of supporting the business in building and embedding a culture around evidence-based assurance and robust internal controls.  You will drive our risk management and assurance policies and processes and be a key advisor to the Executive Team and the Audit & Risk Committee.  With links to every part of the business you will have demonstrable understanding of social housing regulatory and legislative requirements, compliance assurance reporting as well as experience managing GDPR and information governance.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and influencing skills to work with the Senior Leadership team in evaluating and managing risk and co-ordinating assurance reporting.
  • Proven understanding of risk management and having a robust internal controls framework.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of an effective risk management framework.
  • The ability to thrive in a standalone role, making decisions that shape the future of risk and assurance for the organisation.
  • An innovative approach to drive effective horizon scanning for emerging and new risks and monitoring compliance.
