This is a part time, permanent position for 22.5 hours per week.

St Gemma’s Hospice is one of the leading hospices in the UK.  The Hospice provides expert palliative and end of life care, in a quality environment, for thousands of local people each year.  It’s a prominent and respected charity at the heart of the local community with a large range of specialist services to support patients, their families and friends.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to work with our busy and successful education team within the St Gemma’s Academic Unit of Palliative Care (AUPC). You will provide administrative support for a number of training programmes and support the education team more broadly. You will be highly organised, efficient and proactive, with a strong level of Microsoft Office skills and an ability to learn and work with internal systems.  A keen attention to detail is required as well as a flexible and personable approach to work.

You will have:

  • Experience delivering high quality administrative support
  • In-depth knowledge level of Microsoft Outlook / Word / PowerPoint / Excel
  • Knowledge of video conferencing and other communications systems
  • Experience of maintaining systems and processes
  • Ability to priorities own workload, work flexibly and use initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong attention to detail.
