We are seeking a driven and ambitious Senior Business Development Manager to join our market-leading team at TriConnex. If you thrive in solution-focused sales and have a passion for closing deals, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the utilities sector.

What will you be doing?

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will play a critical role in accelerating our sales growth in the utility connections market across the Northwest. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Knowledge: Developing a strong understanding of TriConnex offerings and competitor activity.
  • Prospecting: Identifying and building relationships with potential customers.
  • Account Management: Managing existing key customers to maximize wallet share.
  • Proposals: Preparing and presenting compelling value-add bid proposals.
  • Lead Generation: Driving new business and achieving sales growth in the NW territory.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitoring progress through agreed KPIs.
  • CRM Management: Keeping systems and sales reports up to date.
  • Industry Representation: Attending external events to represent TriConnex.
  • Customer Service: Delivering exceptional service at every stage.
  • Client Engagement: Hosting and entertaining customers to strengthen relationships.

The Person

This is a key appointment that will significantly contribute to TriConnex's growth. To succeed, you should bring experience, energy, and a results-driven mindset. We’re looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Experience: Proven background in business development, ideally within utilities or construction.
  • Customer Focus: Passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Sales Skills: Ability to sell value over price and close deals effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Confidence to cultivate and maintain strong connections.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Planning: Strong organizational skills to deliver on agreed objectives.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Proactive Attitude: A “can-do” mindset with a drive to succeed.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in IT and CRM systems.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required.
