Care Assistant

Salary: £24,071 - £29,114 experience dependent
Location: Milton Hospice - CB24 6AB
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Part time applicants considered, minimum 24 hours per week

*A Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle is essential for this role*

Our service is provided in a 24/7, 365 days environment; shifts include weekend & Bank Holiday working.

Shift Pattern:

Our standard shift structure is 12 1/2 hour shifts (includes unpaid break)

Day Shift - 7:30am-8:00pm

Night Shift - 7:30pm-8:00am

Homecare Shift - In the community (hours vary)

Enhanced Rates - Weekends, Evenings & Bank Holidays:

+30% Saturdays & Evenings

+60% Sundays & Bank Holidays

We are looking for individuals with experience of working within a similar caring profession who want to further their experience or develop skills working in children’s palliative care.

In our commitment to you, we will provide you with:

  • All the training and development required to deliver children’s palliative care including:
    • EACH Care Assistant Development Programme 
    • Children’s Palliative and End of Life Care Training Programme
  • Regular clinical, safeguarding and management supervision to support your professional development.
  • The support you need to enable you to provide safe and effective care and support to the children and their families who use our service.
