An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Accounts Receivable Assistant in bpha’s Finance Team. 

As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of bpha’s incoming payments. This includes ensuring that payments are reconciled on a timely and accurate basis, direct debits are collected within the scheme rules and the debtor ledger is maintained. 

 

Please see the role profile attached for full details, but a summary of what you will be doing is as follows: 

  • Responsible for the maintenance of bpha’s bank accounts for area of responsibility, posting transactions on a timely basis. 

  • Process monthly nominal ledger reconciliations as directed. 

  • Trigger and extract all housing management system interface files daily into the finance system in accordance with the procedure. 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the debtor ledger, raising invoices and posting receipts in accordance with the process. 

  • To process direct debits collections in accordance with the rules of the Scheme. 

 

We’d love to meet someone who has: 

  • Experience of the Accounts Receivable function and duties. 

  • Excellent numeracy skills and an ability to understand analyse and manipulate information and data 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels 

  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment 

  • Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. 

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to actively seek and find solutions to problems 

  • Able to work on own initiative, be self-motivating and proactive 

  • Strong IT skills to include intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and experience using financial accounting systems.
