Full time (37 hours per week) 

We are looking for a Remediation and Defects Project Manager to lead on and manage the rectification of defects across all buildings including, but not limited to building safety, fire safety and any other latent defects. 

Reporting to the Building Safety Manager, this role will ensure all remediation work complies with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and legislation and key function of The Remediation and Defects Project Manager is to promote the safety of our customers, buildings and a safe working environment. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Proactively identify potential risks at the earliest opportunity related to defects and remediation. 

  • Develop remediation plans to address identified defects, ensuring that resolutions are effective, timely, and aligned with project goals, timeframes and costs. 

  • Lead, manage and be responsible for the full project lifecycle, managing resources, timelines and budgets. 

  • Maintain clear, concise, and regular communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of defects and remediation plans of work. 

  • Manage complaints effectively and within recommended timeframes. 

  • Challenge poor quality, bad and unsafe practices, set and maintain high levels of safe working practices as the minimal acceptable standard 

 

We’d love to meet someone with: 

  • Relevant experience in a similar role 

  • To be an excellent communicator committed to providing quality clear written and verbal information to both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Fire safety experience and qualification 

  • The ability to understand and apply relevant fire and structural safety principles and practices in coordinating safety 

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of construction health and safety legislation (including CDM 2015 to Level 3 minimum). 

  • Evidence of CPD and willingness to continue formal learning 

  • Building or construction related degree or similar qualification/experience
