OVERALL SUMMARY

Join Close Brothers Asset Management's Bespoke Investment Management Team as the Business Transformation Manager. Reporting to the Head of Bespoke Investment Management Services, this role involves driving business transformation and enhancing client and colleague experiences, representing the Bespoke business in all transformation activities, acting as a mediator and facilitator. Responsibilities include aligning improvements with the Service Design Blueprint, managing the transformation roadmap, and leveraging digital tools for efficient solutions. The manager collaborates with the executive sponsor and change teams, provides project updates, manages risks, and oversees governance structures. Additionally, they ensure continuous development of in-house initiatives and make key decisions on complex issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary figure representing the Bespoke business in all transformation activities, serving as a trusted mediator and facilitator between Change Management and the user groups / committees to accurately relay feedback and priorities.

  • Hold the user groups / committees accountable for delivering objectives and business outcomes, ensuring their alignment with business strategic goals.

  • Support and drive change by creating a collaborative culture, providing input to strategic decisions (e.g. tech choices), driving readiness and adoption, and ensuring value realisation.

  • Collaborate with the executive sponsor, user group / committee, and Change teams to meet strategic goals and business outcomes, providing project progress updates and highlighting changes in scope, budget, and timelines.

  • Align the implementation of improvements with the Service Design Blueprint to simplify end-to-end client and colleague journeys, enhancing processes using digital tools.

  • Develop and manage the Bespoke transformation roadmap, providing regular project updates and communications to the executive sponsor and the wider Bespoke business, while increasing focus on digital capabilities.

  • Make key decisions on complex issues that the user groups / committees cannot agree a path forward, managing key risks and issues throughout projects.

  • Oversee and improve the governance structure of programs of work, ensuring understanding of how different programs of work overlap and entwine to deliver efficient solutions for Bespoke Investment Management.

  • Oversee continuous development and industrialisation of in-house built initiatives

Regulatory responsibilities ¦ Compliance/T&C

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business. Follow principles and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the internal requirements set out in the Compliance Manual, local and Group Compliance and Risk policies.
  • Ensure all transformation activities and initiatives comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, while regularly reviewing and update processes to align with new regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage regulatory risks associated with transformation projects.
  • Oversee data protection measures to ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
  • Ensure that digital tools and processes used in transformation projects adhere to data security and privacy regulations.
  • Comply with the PA Dealing policy.
  • Ensure required mandatory training is kept up to date and completed within the set timeframe given by CBAM.

 

 

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field an advantage, though not a requirement. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) would be an advantage.

  • Experience: Extensive experience in business transformation, change management, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading successful transformation projects.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, familiarity with digital transformation technologies, and a strong understanding of data privacy and regulatory compliance.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align transformation initiatives with business strategic goals and make informed decisions on complex issues using problem-solving skills.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse stakeholders, including executive sponsors, user groups, and change teams.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster a collaborative culture, and hold user groups accountable for delivering objectives.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of transformation projects are meticulously planned and executed.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

  • Innovative Mindset: A forward-thinking approach to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance business processes and drive value realisation.

  • Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with transformation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
