Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Purchase Ledger Administrator to join our central Accounts department within the Purchase Ledger team. This role is vital for maintaining our purchase ledger processes and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate processing of all financial transactions within established and agreed time scales.
  • Ensure that all accounts are reconciled appropriately and that all queries are resolved such that accounts accurately reflect the true position of the business.
  • Collate and publish management information on a weekly and/or monthly basis such that management are fully informed of progress.
  • Ensure that relevant statutory submissions are completed and submitted for approval before dispatch to relevant external authority.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Purchase Ledger to ensure accuracy and integrity of the information.
  • Setting up supplier accounts in line with group policy, ensuring customer information is up to date.
  • Code invoices and obtain invoice approval for non-inventory invoices.
  • Ensure supplier reconciliation is completed monthly, and any queries are actively investigated with relevant parties and resolved.
  • Set and monitor KPI's.
  • Manage day-to day work-flow of the department, monitoring both quality and quantity of work, helping staff with problems and queries, identifying possible bottlenecks and developing issues.

 

 

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Prior experience as a Senior Purchase Ledger Administrator or similar role in finance.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use pivot tables and advanced formulas.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing data.
  • Collaborative mindset to effectively address challenges and meet customer needs.
  • Flexible work ethic and a passion for contributing to team success.
