The Vacancy
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Family Time (contact) Team. A support officer for children and families involves facilitating and supervising contact sessions between children and their parents or other relatives, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. They may also be responsible for assessing family needs, creating action plans, and providing reports on the contact sessions. Specific responsibilities vary depending on the role, such as being part of a Children's Centre team, a supervised contact worker, or a family support worker.
The role will be part of an outstanding rated team, making a difference daily to the lives of children in North Lincolnshire, working to support the North Lincolnshire Council’s One Family Approach to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
Applicants must:
· Have experience of working with children, young people and their families
· Have understanding of statutory and legal responsibilities towards children, young people and their families
· Be able to communicate effectively with children, families and professionals
