We have an exciting role on offer within our Community Learning Service as a Community Learning Tutor.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Learning Tutor to join our team, focusing on empowering individuals who are resettling in the Tees Valley area.
This role is vital in supporting people from diverse backgrounds, helping them gain essential skills to thrive in their new communities. The primary focus will be delivering English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses to improve language proficiency, fostering confidence and independence in everyday communication.
Additionally, the tutor will play a key role in offering a range of health, well-being, life skills, and soft skills development, creating a well-rounded learning experience that supports individuals’ integration and personal growth.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Deliver and support learners' language development.
Design and implement engaging, community-based learning programs, covering areas such as digital skills, health, well-being, life skills, and pathways to further learning or Employment.
Build strong connections with local partners to support learner recruitment and outreach efforts within the community.
Provide tailored information, advice, and guidance to help learners build confidence and make informed decisions about their future goals upon course completion.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, including registers, Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), enrolment forms, and exit surveys.
Develop creative teaching materials and marketing content to enhance learner engagement and promote courses effectively.
Achieve individual goals and contribute to team Key Performance Indicators, supporting overall service success.
Ensure learner safety and security, adhering to local Safeguarding and Prevent protocols.
Undertake additional duties as required by service management to support the mission of community learning and development.
