This is an exciting opportunity to join Ardoch Loch Lomond, an exclusive use venture. Ardoch sits in a spectacular location with wonderful views over Loch Lomond and is an 18-bedroom exclusive use meetings & events venue with various events spaces for up to 90 indoors and 150 outdoors. Ardoch was gifted to the Scottish charity CHAS in October 2020, and re-opened in July 2021 as a unique profit with purpose exclusive use venue, with the aim to build a sustainable new revenue stream for CHAS, providing a unique hospitality experience for our guests.
We are seeking to recruit a Duty Manager. Ardoch has a small core team based at the venue and as such, your role is pivotal to the success of the business, and you will need to be a self-starter and take on a wide range of responsibilities. You will also work closely with different event suppliers who work with us to fulfil certain operational aspects of running our events.
The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager (GM) to deliver an exceptional client experience in the provision of service for a wide range of events including corporate meetings, private celebrations, special interest activity groups and some weddings.
You will play an active hands-on role covering a variety of shifts. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, calm under pressure and confident using their own initiative. A background in hospitality is essential, particularly with food and beverage service experience. Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable manner are key to delivering the high standard of customer service we pride ourselves on.
This is a part time position. The role averages 25 hours per week (108 hours per month), though flexibility is essential as weekly hours may vary.
Due to the nature of the business, shifts will include early and late shifts, and weekends.
