Activites & Events Officer

Salary: £14,305 a year
Location: Stoke on Trent
Hours per week 21 hours per week
Contract type Permanent

This is a Permanent, Salaried vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for someone to take responsibility for coordinating, supporting and delivering events and activities in our Extra Care and Sheltered Housing Villages and in our wider community neighbourhoods.

 

Job requirements:

  • Develop and deliver a programme of activities and events with our customers, that puts them at the heart of everything that we do.
  • Assist in setting up new groups and support existing customer groups to promote independence, including through volunteering opportunities.
  • Maintain records so that we can deliver on requirements of the statutory framework for housing providers around activities and events.
  • Work as part of a wider Customer & Neighbourhoods Team to promote the values and vision of the services available to customers.
  • Plan and promote the programme of activities and events with customers in a range of ways, including in communities and across social media platforms.
  • Engage with vulnerable, hard to reach or underrepresented customers to ensure that they are able to access activities and event opportunities.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Some experience of activities and events planning.
  • Experience and knowledge of health and safety legislation in risk planning for a wide variety of activities and events.
  • A passion for supporting customers and an understanding of our aim to deliver great customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills and good ICT skills such as Word, Excel, Publisher and social media.
  • Resilience and the ability to record, share and prioritise customer feedback.
  • Flexibility, with the willingness to work a variety of shifts and locations to cover service requirements and delivery (including weekends)
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle for work.
  • DBS check.
