Trading General Manager

The Vacancy
Job Type: 1 Year Fixed-Term
Hours: Full-Time, 35 Hours per week
We have an incredible opportunity for an Interim General Manger to lead the Trading limited company on a 12 month fixed term basis. We are open to discussing part time for this role.

About You
You are a highly experienced retail expert with exceptional ecommerce experience who wants to make a difference. You’ll bring your solid commercial acumen, leadership skills and retail knowledge specifically including ecommerce to lead a small team to implement our updated trading strategy and manage the business alongside leading the evaluation of the new strategy and devising recommendations on how this evolves to deliver the most effective operating model moving ahead. You are adept at working both strategically and operationally, are able to build strong credibility with our Board and stakeholders and can motivate, inspire and support a great team.
About the Role
Every £ profit goes directly to helping veterans. But its much more than that, our trading business engages significant new supporter numbers and ensures our brand is visible. It’s a role that is critical to ensure we have the best operating model and product ranges that will build and inspire support with product ranging from wristbands and Christmas cards to our signature hoodies. A refreshed strategy has been developed and implemented, and the role will lead and support the team to continue to implement and evolve this bringing exceptional commercial acumen and best practice trade. It leads all aspects of the business from cash flow to warehouse and systems contracts to product and marketing and is supported by an exceptionally experienced and supportive Trading Board. In short, it’s a full business leadership role ensuring we define and manage the best and most effective trading model for the long term.
