The Graduate Programme Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and managing the company’s graduate programme. This role focuses on recruiting, training, and retaining graduates, equipping them with the skills and experience needed to excel in the engineering industry and water sector. 

This position collaborates closely with senior management, mentors, HR, and academic institutions to deliver a structured, engaging, and effective programme. Key responsibilities include mentoring graduates, delivering internal training, liaising with HR, business leads, and universities, and continuously evaluating and enhancing the programme based on performance insights. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and oversee the graduate programme structure to ensure alignment with company objectives. 
  • Manage rotational assignments, technical training, and professional development opportunities for graduates. 
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D, business leads, and mentors to ensure the programme supports both graduate development and company needs. 
  • Lead graduate recruitment, including building relationships with universities, attending career fairs, and promoting the programme. 
  • Act as the main point of contact for graduate hires, supporting and providing mentorship & performance feedback.   
  • Design and deliver leadership development training to enhance professional growth. 
  • Monitor graduate progress and performance, ensuring continuous improvement of the programme. 
  • Develop metrics and reports to evaluate graduate success and programme effectiveness. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

To succeed in this role, you should have: 

  • Experience in line management (preferred).   
  • Proven expertise in employee learning and development.  
  • Strong understanding of graduate programme requirements and structure.  
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.  
  • Ability to analyse data, produce reports, and identify trends.  
  • A professional certification in Training & Development or HR (desirable).
