St Luke’s Hospice Sheffield is looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our dedicated Fundraising Team. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a varied and high-quality calendar of events that raise vital funds and awareness to support the care we provide to patients and families across Sheffield.
About the role
Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of mass participation events, challenge activities, community events and hospice-wide projects – both in person and virtual. You’ll be responsible for delivering these events to a high standard, ensuring they meet income targets and provide an outstanding supporter experience.
This is a hands-on, collaborative role that will see you working closely with colleagues across the Hospice, as well as external suppliers, sponsors, volunteers and our incredible supporters.
Key responsibilities
Plan and manage our flagship events including the Festival of Light, Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, Golf Day and other key fundraising events.
Create and deliver new event concepts that inspire support and grow income, in line with our strategic aims.
Lead all event logistics, including risk assessments, licensing, volunteer coordination and supplier management.
Develop stewardship journeys and marketing plans with the Communications and Supporter Relations teams to maximise participant engagement.
Track and report on income, expenditure and ROI, ensuring each event is evaluated and continuously improved.
About you
We’re looking for someone with:
Proven experience in planning and delivering successful fundraising or public-facing events.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
A creative and proactive mindset, with the confidence to lead on new ideas.
Strong communication and people skills – you’ll be working with a wide range of stakeholders.
The flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
