This is an exciting time at bpha as we have recently introduced our in-house maintenance service for the first time in the organisation’s 30+ year history. We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Voids) who will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of mobile operatives delivering repairs within our void properties, and the management of void repairs in a timely manner to reduce our customers’ wait for a new home, drive efficiencies and reduce lost revenue as a result of downtime.   

   

What you will be doing:   

  • Responsible for ensuring that IHMS operatives operate within a strong culture of health, safety, environment, and quality that can be evidenced, stands up to scrutiny and audit.  

  • You will ensure that the IHMS operatives always adhere to our systems, policies, procedures, processes, documentation, and record keeping requirements in relation to SHEQ.  

  • Developing a highly motivated, empowered, and engaged team that work together to positively contribute towards delivering bpha’s vision and mission.  

  • Ensuring our workforce have the right tools, equipment, and materials to do the job, are adequately resourced and pro-actively planned to deliver an efficient service.  

  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on key void process milestones, recommending and implementing improvements where required  

 

We’d love to meet someone with:    

  • Experience and knowledge of the void process within Social Housing  

  • GCSE’s or equivalent levels preferably to include English and Mathematics.  

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in a trade.  

  • CSCS / SSSTS or SMSTS or equivalent(s).  

  • Minimum 3 years in supervisory position within property maintenance or similar service.  

  • An organised approach to work, with a positive attitude and able to manage time effectively and efficiently.   

  • Good general all round trade and construction knowledge & experience.  

  • Good and relevant health and safety knowledge and qualifications.

Please note the successful candidate will be required to complete a basic DBS application. Interview process for this role is expected to be two stages with a potential assessment/presentation at second-stage interview.
