You will be responsible for providing a first class plumbing service to all our customers in their homes.  

  • Starting salary £32,820 rising to £34,547 on successful completion of 6 month probation period
  • Oldham
  • 39 hour week, working hours 8am-4:30pm Monday Thursday & 8am-3:30pm on Friday
  • Start at 26 days annual leave, increasing up to 30 days plus bank holidays
  • Van, Fuel card, Uniform & Tools provided
  • Key must haves – full clean driving licence, NVQ level 2 in Plumbing

What you’ll be doing 

  • You will assist with providing a first class plumbing service in respect of the maintenance of all domestic sanitary appliances ie bathrooms, sinks, taps, drainage etc to all our homes, maintaining a high standard of workmanship in the homes in your area. 
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity and safety. 
  • Have good organisational skills and ability to prioritise a busy and reactive work load.  
  • Demonstrate a positive and flexible attitude. 
  • Demonstrate reliability, initiative, ability to work as part of a team and on your own.  
  • You will communicate with customers and colleagues effectively. 
  • Treating our homes with respect and maintain high standards of health and safety & reporting any concerns to your line manager.  
  • You will look after the equipment provided to you keeping it in clean and fit working condition. 

What you’ll need 

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing 
  • A full clean drivers licence to be able to drive a Great Places Van 
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on your own 
  • Ability to manage your own time and work to deadlines. 
  • Similar experience ideal but not essential 
  • Demonstrate a positive can do attitude  
  • A flexible approach to the working day  
  • You will need to be able to drive a Great Places Van

For the purposes of our van fleet insurance you must have a minimum of 2 years driving experience with a full UK driving licence, be over the age of 21 and complete an on-line driver monitoring Assessment prior to starting your role. If you are under 21 but with 2 years driving experience with a full UK driving licence you would be required to complete an on-line driver monitoring assessment and additional in vehicle assessment prior to starting your role funded by Great Places.
