We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, who wants to get involved in helping shape and execute Foresters’ product and proposition strategy. 

You will responsible for shaping and delivering a new retail consumer facing mobile application proposition for Foresters. It involves defining the app’s vision, developing its core features, and managing its end-to-end delivery to ensure a compelling, customer-centric digital experience.

The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and third-party partners, translating customer needs and business objectives into functional requirements and engaging user journeys.

You must have strong experience in mobile product development, particularly within financial services, and a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks such as the FCA Consumer Duty.

 

Your day to day will include:

  • Gathering and understanding customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends to inform the application’s development
  • New product/proposition development including initial life cycle management
  • Identifying priority problems to solve and customer needs to meet, ensuring propositions are commercially viable, technically feasible and usable for customers
  • Discover and prioritise optimisation opportunities that allow for continuous improvement of product outcomes and experience for customer
  • Collaboration with 3rd parties, technical product managers, designers, developers, and marketing teams. Ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and best practices and product requirements as set out by Foresters
  • Managing stakeholders with interactions at Board Level.
  • Work cross functionally with different teams of subject matter experts
  • Support the shaping and end-to-end delivery of the mobile application’s vision and strategy
  • Identify special requirements/needs of vulnerable customers, recommending propositional features and supporting business practices to deliver good customer outcomes
  • Leverage data, customer insights, market research and regulations, to confidently pull out the ‘so-what’s to inform business decision making and continuously improving our products
  • Present updates, recommendations and where required, training, in an engaging and easily understandable way for colleagues
  • Work with our Compliance team in the identification and assessment of any risks that are identified
  • Champion good customer outcomes and a customer-focussed culture in the organisation

 

Working hours are 35 hours a week Monday to Friday. Start times can vary from 8am to 9.30am. After a successful training period there is flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week.

 

What we require

  • Experience in Financial Services
  • Experience in a similar digital product/ proposition manager role
  • Experience working with 3rd parties/ external agencies and product developers
  • Experience of new product development and relevant processes/principles
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear and concise messaging (for internal and external purposes)
  • Understanding of user interface/ user experience (UI/UX) principles
  • Evidence of a customer-focused mindset with proven ability to balance customer experience with commercial objectives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience of applying strategic thinking balanced with delivery
  • Effective planning, organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills.  Confident interpreting and working with customer and business data.
  • Collaborative team player
