Are you an experienced procurement professional who thrives on leading procurement of works and ensuring compliance? This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering compliant, efficient, and value-driven procurement activities across the organisation.

 

About the Role

As our Procurement Manager, you’ll take the lead on the full procurement lifecycle. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure goods, works, and services are procured in line with public sector regulations, while maintaining high standards of documentation, compliance, and supplier performance. Your day-to-day will involve running procurement exercises, advising stakeholders, and supporting contract management across a wide range of categories.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead procurement of works, goods, and services contracts.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the rollout of a Contract Management Standard across the organisation.
  • Deliver training and guidance on procurement best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with the Procurement Act and other regulations.
  • Manage procurement projects and administrative tasks end-to-end.
  • Identify risks and drive innovative, value-driven solutions.

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong experience in public sector procurement and contract management.
  • Knowledge of PCR 2015 and Procurement Act 2023.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly to build an appropriate procurement with the relevant stakeholders
  • Proficiency in e-tendering tools and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the social housing or private sector.
  • CIPS membership (or working towards it).
  • Project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
