We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in high end retail projects to join our team as a Project Manager / Employer’s Agent.  You’ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional retail spaces, overseeing projects from inception to completion.

As a Senior Project Manager / Employer's Agent, you will be a pivotal member of our project team, leading and coordinating all aspects of high-end retail projects. You will collaborate closely with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team, collaborate with well-regarded clients and ensure the successful delivery of impressive retail environments.

Working within KK’s 1 Team approach, you will be a pivotal member of our project team, leading and coordinating all aspects of high-end retail projects.  You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

 

Individual Duties:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of high-end retail projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, fostering strong relationships and effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, and awarding of contracts, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities align with project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and present project reports, status updates, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and conflicts, implementing strategies to minimise disruptions and maximise project success.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and other relevant paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering Project Management / Employer’s Agent duties, particularly in High-end Retail projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building and planning regulations relevant to retail environments.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management abilities, with experience in procurement, tendering and contract administration.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivery superior results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects nationwide.

 

Knowledge of:

  • Proficient in Excel
  • JCT suite of contracts
  • Understanding of NEC contracts is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to use measurement software / undertake measurement where required.
  • Proficient in financial and cost management tools.
  • Previous experience of retail / high-end retails projects is beneficial.
