Senior MEP Project Engineer - Offsite Solutions

SES is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with strong experience in Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) or modular building to support SES Engineering Services (SES) and wider Wates Group businesses. This role will focus on driving collaboration, integrated working practices, and engineering excellence to deliver high‑quality OSM solutions at our off-site production facility in Coventry.

As an Offsite Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end integration of M&E offsite solutions across a diverse portfolio of regional projects. This includes overseeing design development, engineering coordination, and procurement activities to ensure seamless project delivery.

ABOUT THE ROLE

SES deliver bespoke, design-led cost-efficient solutions optimised for the whole construction team, by maximising off-site manufacture in our production facility, delivering our solutions which minimise onsite resources and interfaces assuring quality and customer satisfaction in a measurable, safe way every time.

In the role of Solutions Manager you be accountable for the integration of M&E offsite solutions for all projects undertaken within a region.

DESIGN/BIM MANAGEMENT

• Design & BIM engagement - define scope, accountabilities, programme, deliverables & model reviews. Collaboration with OSM BIM Team &SES digital engineering resources.
• Digital Engineering - embrace innovation, VR/AR and the Virtual Factory and best value design solutions.
• Contribute to the creation of installation & logistics plans.
• Accountable for the completion of the OSM Service Agreement and Workbook prior to Prism / SES Manufacturing accepting order/commencing manufacture.
• Engineering collaboration with project teams.
• Contribute to the development of the Prism / SES Manufacturing Product Portfolio and R&D.
• Contribute to the development & improvement of the Prism / SES Manufacturing Operating Framework.
• Design management – attendance at design team meetings.
• Conduct regular reviews of drawings/document control on site, ensuring the correct versions are being used.

SHE MANAGEMENT

• Ensure CDM obligations are addressed and contribute to the designing for safety initiative on every project.

WORK WINNING

• Be accountable for the Offsite Strategy on any assigned project.
• Collaborate with SES and Wates regional businesses and external customers to develop OSM strategies and solutions for bids & projects.
• Prism / SES Manufacturing technical authority for all bids & projects.
• Contribute to key bids & create bid winning themes/competitive advantage.
• Help drive and develop market and sector based OSM offerings.
• Attend relevant bid launch & settlement events.
• Assist the estimating functions with managing the estimating output process for each allocated project and contribute to the cost preparation as required.

We are looking for you to have a practical background/OSM experience & understanding of estimating, design & BIM preferred, with a Building Services Mechanical technical or practical qualification (HNC or equivalent). 

To be successful in the role you will be competent on Microsoft excel and office and have MOSAIC or knowledge of alternative production control system, with attention to detail and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
