We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Motorman to join our technical team onboard. The Motorman is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the engine room and associated systems, ensuring the vessel operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with maritime regulations.

Assist in maintenance and repair work not only in engine room areas but also throughout the vessel, including passenger and crew accommodation, galley, store rooms, black/grey water lines, and sewage systems.

Take soundings and log readings as directed by the Engineer Officer of the Watch.

Report daily to the Second Engineer to receive assignments. Tasks must be carried out in line with the directions of the Second and Third Engineers, and when appropriate, the Chief Engineer.

Perform routine tasks independently, and under supervision for critical machinery-related work.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid STCW certificates, PST – Personal Survival Technique, PSSR – Personal Safety and Social Responsibility, FPFF – Fire Prevention & Firefighting, EFA – Elementary First Aid

  • Certificate of Proficiency as Motorman or equivalent maritime engine room qualification.

  • Previous experience in a similar role aboard commercial, passenger, or offshore vessels.

  • Sound knowledge of engine room systems, pumps, fuel systems, and maintenance procedures.

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Good physical condition and awareness of safety practices in a confined and high-risk environment.

  • Working knowledge of technical English is a strong advantage.
