Are you passionate about resolving issues before they impact the user? Join our fast-paced IT Operations team as an Application Support Analyst on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, where you'll be the first line of defence in maintaining a seamless customer experience across our tech estate. You'll monitor live systems, respond to critical alerts, and work collaboratively to ensure we continue to deliver high availability, resilience, and performance. Interested? Take a look below to understand what you’ll be doing as Application Support Analyst:

  • Monitoring and logging application events, system failures and alerts across business-critical IT systems.
  • Providing first-line support and incident resolution, escalating only where necessary.
  • Triage and troubleshoot unexpected alerts using leading monitoring tools like AppDynamics and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Supporting system access, service restarts, and essential monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining and updating our internal Knowledge Base with repeat procedures and known fixes.
  • Contributing to weekly feedback loops, identifying recurring issues and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Acting as the single point of IT support out-of-hours, including handling user access requests and high-priority incidents.
  • Collaborating with Duty Managers to ensure timely, effective communication on live issues.

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
  • Experience in system operation or application support in a live environment.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. AppDynamics, CloudWatch).
  • Experience writing and executing SQL scripts.
  • Confident using command line interfaces and understanding system behaviour.
  • Awareness of ITIL processes and SLAs.
  • Familiar with collaboration and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
