Job Title: Technical & Estimating Support

Location: Oldbury, Birmingham

Reports to: Profile Sales Director

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented person who can deliver accurate quotations, technical support, and drawing take-offs while supporting both the Profile team and our customers. This role offers a blend of technical, administrative, and customer-focused duties, including CRM updates, assisting with internal sales enquiries, and contributing to the smooth operation of a busy sales office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage customer enquiries: Providing updates, clarifying requirements, and ensuring expectations are met.
  • Prepare accurate quotation: Using the Lindab ERP system (Axapta) and collaborate with other departments to gather necessary technical and pricing information.
  • Respond to technical product queries: Offering expert advice, alternative solutions, and supporting technical training when needed.
  • Maintain accurate record: Using the CRM and quotation systems to ensure efficient administration and internal communication.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working with ERP systems: Preferably Axapta, for quoting and order management.
  • Strong technical knowledge: In construction or building products, with the ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings or plans.
  • Proven customer service and communication skills: Particularly in handling technical or sales-related enquiries.
  • Familiarity with CAD or BIM software and the ability to support customers in using technical resources.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-driven and well-organised: Able to manages time effectively, handles multiple tasks efficiently, and ensures accuracy in all aspects of work.

 

The Package:

  • Salary of up to £35,000.00
