Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Join our dedicated Home Assistance Team at North Lincolnshire Council and help transform homes to improve independence, safety, and quality of life for our residents.

As a Senior Home Assistance Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering life-enhancing adaptations and repairs through our Grant and Loan Programme, with a particular focus on complex cases such as Disabled Facilities Grants. Your work will directly support individuals and families to live more comfortably and confidently in their own homes.

You will manage a rewarding caseload and provide expert guidance to colleagues, helping to shape solutions that meet the unique needs of each household. Your technical expertise in domestic property design, CAD drawings, and project oversight will be key to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with a range of professionals—from Occupational Therapists and Social Workers to Structural Engineers and specialist contractors—to co-create tailored solutions that truly make a difference.

We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently and as part of a team, with a strong understanding of grant legislation and the workings of a Unitary Authority. Your ability to lead on complex designs, feasibility studies, and contractor procurement will be highly valued.

In this role, you’ll also support the Lead Officer, take the lead in their absence, and have delegated authority to approve grants, loans, and payments. You’ll be trusted to meet deadlines and keep stakeholders informed, all while maintaining a focus on the positive impact your work has on our community.

If you’re motivated by meaningful work and want to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team, we’d love to hear from you. Even if you’re unsure whether you meet every requirement, we welcome informal conversations to explore how your skills and passion could be a great fit for this role.

Please see attached job description and employee specification which you should refer to when completing your application to demonstrate you meet the essential criteria for the role.
