If you thrive in a fast paced, varied role then look no further than our team leader role.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same, but as a team leader, you’ll ultimately be responsible for the line management, 1:1 catch ups and support of trade operatives. Part of this will be hosting toolbox talks for the team on a regular basis.

The team will call on you in our “refer to team leader” process to support with diagnosing repairs live in the moment, so you’ll have experience of working in these areas. There’ll be the odd occasion when you will be on site too.

You’ll work in conjunction with the lettings team to ensure the team have work planned in and are working in the most efficient and effective way to support our customers.

There’ll also be collaborative working with our surveying team, our customers and external contractors to ensure the jobs get done, in a timely manner to a high standard.

You’ll support the contracts supervisor with complaints, ensuring a focus on customer service always and you’ll keep our internal systems up-to-date with accurate information on agreed outcomes. You’ll also use our systems to run reports as well so you’ll need to be comfortable using IT.

About you

You’ll have a background in the housing sector and working in property maintenance. You’ll also have experience of supervising a team with the ability to support and coach remotely.

The role is very reactive, so you’ll need to be resilient and be able to juggle a fluctuating workload with demanding priorities.

You’ll be a strong communicator, sometimes delivering difficult messages and being firm in your decision making.

There’s a heavy element of IT usage in the role, so being a confident user of Microsoft Office is essential.

As we’ve said, you’ll be out and about across Hampshire so you’ll need a full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
