We have an exciting position available for a Building Surveyor to join us!
You’ll be responsible for comprehensive and accurate data to be collected during stock condition surveys to maintain and update One Manchester’s asset database as well as carry out inspections, surveys, and repairs in full compliance with One Manchester’s landlord responsibilities. Undertaking routine and ad hoc property surveys to identify building defects. You will ensure all One Manchester works are delivered in full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including building regulations, planning permission, CDM regulations and other regular consents necessary. Conduct regular health & safety audits in line with OM’s policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for residents, contractors and staff. Transfer site-based information to the asset system, provide technical support to customers and stakeholders on property condition and develop a strong working relationship with Planned and Reactive maintenance teams to confirm a coordinated and efficient approach across all areas of repairs and maintenance.
What we’re looking for:
Posses an appropriate academic or professional qualification to HNC level or above in construction-related discipline
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to a range of audiences
Extensive experience working within a survey team
Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Maintain strong customer focus
Proactively demonstrate a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in both workplace and service delivery
