As a Kitchen fitter, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality kitchen installations in customer homes and void properties, ensuring a safe, efficient, and customer-centric service. You will perform tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating to complete kitchen replacements to a high standard. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Install kitchen units, worktops, sinks, and associated plumbing and electrical connections. 

  • Deliver a first-class customer experience with a focus on first-time fix and minimal disruption. 

  • Carry out tiling, plastering, vinyl flooring and decorating to complete installations. 

  • Manage van stock and order materials from approved suppliers. 

  • Liaise with supervisors, Resident Liaison Officers, and customers to ensure smooth service delivery. 

  • Follow all health and safety protocols including asbestos awareness and COSHH regulations. 

  • Keep accurate records and engage in ongoing training and development. 

  • Uphold professional standards and deliver excellent customer experiences. 

 

Knowledge & Experience 

  • Comprehensive trade and construction knowledge. 

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations. 

  • Experience working in occupied homes and under time constraints. 

 

Person Specification: 

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in a construction trade (e.g., carpentry or multi-skills). 

  • Proven experience in kitchen fitting and working under time constraints. 

  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills. 

  • CSCS Card, First Aid Training (Desirable). 

  • Full clean driving licence (Essential). 

  • Basic IT skills for mobile job management systems.
