As part of our continued growth and success, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Southern Division, managing multiple high-value projects ranging from £500,000 to £3 million.
Role Overview
Based from our Rotherham office and spending a minimum of three days per week in London, the Contracts Manager will take ownership of multiple concurrent projects from inception through to completion. You will oversee operational delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate site teams, manage labour resources, liaise with procurement and commercial teams, and act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring the smooth delivery of all flooring contracts under your remit.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor construction programmes to ensure timely delivery.
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of JCT, Design & Build, and NEC contracts.
Oversee and develop site labour resources, maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
Drive and uphold company Health & Safety standards, producing and managing RAMS documentation.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks in line with contractual obligations.
Liaise closely with procurement and commercial teams to manage material call-offs and site logistics.
Maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring effective communication and repeat business.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, legislation, and industry standards.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager or Project Management role, ideally within the flooring, fit-out, or interior subcontracting sectors.
Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC contract forms.
Excellent commercial awareness, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead site teams effectively.
Professional qualification in Construction Management or similar preferred (experience considered equally).
Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to London by train, spending 3 nights in our London apartment.
