Join our friendly catering team and help deliver an outstanding service to staff and students.
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Catering Assistant to provide high-quality food service across our college sites. You will play a key role in preparing and serving food and drinks, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

Actual Salary: £13,810.92 per annum

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (9:00am - 2:00pm) 25 hours a week


Essential Criteria

  • Relevant Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Recent experience in a similar catering role
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across sites and as part of a team
  • Experience of food preparation, cooking and service

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of food, snacks and drinks within on-site catering facilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in kitchen and dining areas
  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers
  • Report customer requests and complaints promptly to the Catering Manager
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team and support wider Estates and Facilities services

Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
