The Role: 

Join Magna Housing as a Data Engineer and help us build reliable, scalable data infrastructure that empowers insight and decision-making. Our focus is on delivering quality, affordable housing and services that enhance the lives of our customers. We aim to cultivate excellent business partnerships, fostering long-term mutual success to help us provide exceptional homes and related services.

What you take care of:  

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support Magna’s Data Warehouse and analytics platform.
  • Develop robust ETL workflows for structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Collaborate with analysts and Report Developers to integrate pipelines into semantic models for reporting.
  • Work closely with the Data Governance Lead to ensure data is accessible, secure, and aligned with business needs. A comprehensive Role Profile is attached to this advert.  

What you need to be successful:   

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Native, Salesforce or Snowflake).
  • Comprehensive understanding of data modelling, schema design, and performance optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Holding a recognised certification or demonstrated expertise in the following areas would be considered advantageous:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • Accreditation in data engineering or cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate).
  • Certifications in SQL, Power BI, or Python
  • Experience with housing sector data or regulatory reporting frameworks.
