About this Role
Are you an experienced Generator Engineer or Service Engineer, looking to work on diesel generators in a field role, covering the Midlands? This Service Engineer opportunity offers hands on engineering work, customer interaction, and long term career development within a well established asset rental and energy business, operating throughout the Midlands. As a Service Engineer within Dawsongroup Energy Solutions, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel generators and associated hire equipment across customer sites. This role suits a practical, customer focused engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being trusted to get the job done right.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs on diesel generators.
- Preparing and supporting generator equipment for hire contracts.
- Planning and coordinating service visits, parts usage, and job reporting.
- Providing technical advice to customers and colleagues when required.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and working areas safely and professionally.
About You
You are an engineer who takes pride in your work and understands the importance of reliability, safety, and customer service. You do not need to have every qualification listed, practical experience and the right attitude are just as important.
- Full valid UK driving licence.
- Experience working with diesel engines and associated mechanical or electrical systems.
- Comfortable working independently in the field.
- Confident communicating with customers and internal teams.
- Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience is beneficial.
