RSK Environment, part of the RSK Group, is looking for an Environmental Consultant to join their supportive and passionate team.

About the Role

You will support environmental compliance and site-based consultancy across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on renewable energy developments that deliver meaningful benefits to local communities and the wider environment.

This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone comfortable wearing a hard hat, pulling on safety boots, and working on active construction sites.

In addition, the role will include providing remote support to clients to meet their environmental requirements, including offering technical advice, reviewing documentation, and supporting compliance activities off-site as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide environmental support and compliance monitoring on client and construction sites
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including contractors, engineers and project managers
  • Support environmental management and mitigation measures on live projects
  • Assist in ensuring works comply with environmental legislation and best practice
  • Prepare reports and communicate findings to clients and project teams

About You

  • A degree in a Environmental Management or related field
  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in an environmental consultancy or similar environmental advisory role.
  • Experience working on construction or infrastructure sites
  • Confident working in site environments (PPE, muddy boots and practical conditions)
  • Experience liaising with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for environmental protection and sustainable development

Location & Travel

Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK but must be willing to travel across the central belt, including Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Lincoln.
All travel expenses and accommodation (where required) are fully covered.
