The Role

Based in Rainford in St Helens, Higher Lane is a residential home for up to 4 adults. It is in a beautiful semi-rural location with great local walks and excellent public transport links.

Those who live at Higher Lane enjoy sensory play, watching films, baking, listening to music, arts and crafts, and attending college for further education.

The people we support enjoy a variety of nearby amenities and places to visit that enrich their daily lives. They love taking local walks and often use public transport to explore different parts of the area. Swimming is a favourite activity, as well as trips out to the beach, nearby farms and even local shopping trips to help with their independence skills.

As the Registered Manager, you will have full management responsibility for the smooth running of this 4-bedroom home in St.Helens. You will lead a large team of care professionals, foster a strong safeguarding culture, and ensure our high standards are upheld every day.

Your focus will be on ensuring that we continue to enrich the lives of the people we support, helping them to thrive and get the most out of life.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Leading, developing and motivating a high-performing team
  • Build trusting relationships
  • Promote independence, choice and agency, encouraging the people we support to make their own decisions wherever possible
  • Work closely with the home team, professionals and families of people you support to provide the best care and support
  • Meet all governing body regulations and legislative requirements
  • Delivery and monitoring of all service provisions with the home
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures
  • Promoting a strong safeguarding culture
  • Operating within a defined budget and meeting all service standards and KPI’s

 

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Ideally be an experienced registered manager in a similar CQC regulated environment.
  • Have a passion for person-centred care
  • It is essential that you have NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering high quality care, ideally with adults with autism and learning disabilities
  • Have the ability to lead and develop a large team to support their career journeys to help them thrive and grow.
  • Be flexible and manage your own hours to meet the needs of the business. 
  • Have resilience and tenacity to deal with challenging situations.
  • A full driving licence is also essential
