The Advocacy People is looking for new Trustees to join our Board.
If you want to make a real difference, use your experience for social good, and build board level and governance skills, this is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity.
What We Do
The Advocacy People is an independent charity providing advocacy and Healthwatch services. We support people to have their voices heard, exercise their rights, and navigate health and social care services when it matters most.

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. At this time, we would particularly welcome those with experience in:

Marketing or communications

Finance, risk, or audit

Health or social care
-
Public sector, commissioning, or the charity sector

Lived experience of the issues our communities face (personal or through supporting others)
Practical Details

Board meetings: Quarterly, mostly online

Occasional in person meetings (around once a year)

Time commitment: Around one day per month
-
All reasonable travel expenses reimbursed
