About the Role

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) is seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Campaigns, Communications and Strategy Lead to drive impactful campaigns and communications across the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to the Asia Pacific Regional Secretary, you will play a key role in shaping regional messaging, strengthening political storytelling, and supporting ITF’s global priorities through high-quality communications and campaigning.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and skilled professional to contribute to the global trade union movement and make a real difference for transport workers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate forward-thinking regional communication and campaign strategies.
  • Coordinate campaign planning with Regional leadership and Organisers.
  • Lead the development of regional messaging frameworks, media strategies and political narratives.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign reach, media coverage and political impact.
  • Work closely with ITF’s Head Office Communications team to ensure global coherence and visibility.
  • Contribute to regional work planning and strategic development.
  • Undertake additional duties as required, including potential redeployment.

 

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in communications and campaigning within trade unions, civil society or a similar advocacy environment.
  • A strong track record of designing and delivering successful campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling skills.
  • The ability to work effectively across cultures and with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • A commitment to social justice, and the values and objectives of the trade union movement.
  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally and work flexibly.

Experience of working in or with the Asia Pacific region and additional language skills would be an advantage.
